Chinese Noodles are truly some of the most incredible things on Earth.
Versatile and delicious, there seems to be a different type of noodle for everyone – whether you’re looking for noodles made of egg, rice, or wheat… and whether you want it fried, drenched in soup, or loaded with sauce.
We’ve already written about the best Chinese rice recipes, but let’s be honest: when the craving hits, nothing beats the satisfying slurp of noodles.
… So we decided to write a post all about them!
Below, you’ll find a selection of our top Chinese noodle recipes. We know we’re only just scratching the surface with these, but we hope to write up more exciting Chinese noodle recipes in the future!
Chicken Chow Mein
We’ll start with one of the most famous Chinese noodle dishes to ever exist – the ubiquitous Chicken Chow Mein.
This is one of the best Chinese takeout classics you can make at home, with an easy list of ingredients and a relatively quick prep time.

Home-Style Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli
For a unique take on Chinese noodles that you’ve probably not tried before, why not give this Home-Style Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli a try?
This stir fried noodle dish is loaded with juicy Chinese sausage, crunchy slivers of mixed vegetables, and dreamy ribbons of egg that tie everything together with a perfectly seasoned sauce.
This tasty recipe is one from the village Papa G grew up in, and isn’t a common feature on restaurant menus. It is however extremely delicious, and well worth a try if you’re looking for new ways to cook rice vermicelli.

Crunchy Chow Mein with Beef and Broccoli
For one of the most gluttonous and satisfying ways to eat Chinese noodles, make sure you try this Crunchy Chow Mein loaded with beef and broccoli.
Picture this: a nest of deep-fried chow mein noodles, drenched in a thick gravy loaded with juicy beef and flavorful broccoli. We’re drooling just thinking about it.

Longevity Noodles (Yi Mein)
This Chinese noodle dish is a common staple of celebratory gatherings, and (naturally) a popular Chinese New Year food.
It may be a simple recipe, but don’t underestimate its plain appearance. This noodle is packed with umami flavor, and is supposed to bring good luck and long life too!

Steamed Garlic Prawns with Vermicelli
For a truly showstopping Chinese noodle dish, be sure to give these steamed garlic prawns with vermicelli a try.
This dish may look fancy, but it’s surprisingly easy to put together at home. Simple yet flavorful aromatics like garlic and green onion are the star here, perfectly enhancing the natural flavors of the prawns.
Add on the bed of vermicelli noodles on the bottom that are there to soak up ALL the amazing garlicky flavor, and you have a standout noodle dish.

BONUS: Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls (Cheung Fun)
While not technically a noodle so much as a noodle roll, I felt it was wrong to make this list of the best Chinese noodle recipes without Cheung Fun, one of my favorite meals ever.
Popular as a Dim Sum dish, these rice noodle rolls are made by steaming a rice flour batter to perfection, until a thin sheet forms. While this sheet can be cut up into strips (for making fresh rice noodles), our recipe calls for rolling them up with various fillings, or eating them plain with a sweet soy sauce.
It might be laborious, but it’s well worth the effort!

BONUS: Pan Fried Rice Noodle Rolls
Another delicious way to enjoy the rice noodle rolls mentioned above is by pan frying them with some soy sauce and serving it with a peanut/hoisin dip. In fact, this is one of my favorite Chinese street foods!
Best of all? You can even make them with fresh rice noodle rolls from the Asian supermarket, to save some time.
