  • 750g your veggies of choice (broccoli florets, green beans, green peppers, red peppers, etc.)
  • 1/4 of a medium onion, cut into chunks
  • 2 gloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp bouillon powder (chicken is the most typical one used, but vegetarian ones will work too!)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch, mixed with 1 tbsp water

This tasty and healthy vegetable dish is easy to make, and perfect for pairing with rice or noodles for dinner. Here are the step by step instructions!

Prep your veggies of choice by cutting them into evenly sized chunks.

Pan fry your garlic and ginger in cooking oil for 20 seconds until fragrant.

Add your first batch of vegetables which take longer to cook (e.g. broccoli, celery, and green beans).

Add 1 tbsp cooking wine and then 2 tbsp water. Cook for a minute.

Add in the rest of your vegetables that take less time to cook (e.g. peppers).

Add your salt, sugar, bouillon powder, and soy sauce, and cook for another minute, until the veggies are to your desired softness. 

Mix together your 1 tbsp water and 1 tsp cornstarch well, then slowly add the mixture into the vegetables while stirring.

Keep stirring until the sauce has thickened. Give your veggies a nice few flips in the pan if you’re feeling brave!

(If desired), add 1 tbsp of sesame oil, mix well, and then serve.
