  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chicken powder
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • Green onions (for topping)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Step by Step Instructions for Our Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe

This tasty dish is easy to whip together for a satisfying dinner. Here are the step by step instructions!

Bring a pot of water to boil. Pre boil your mixed vegetables for 30 seconds, then remove and set aside.

Pre boil your shrimp for 1 minute, then drain it and run it under cold water.

Heat your pan/wok, until you see tendrils of smoke start to appear, then add 1 tbsp oil.

Pour your eggs in, and stir lightly for 10 seconds until they’ve solidified.

Add your rice then continue to stir fry, mixing everything together while breaking up clumps.

Add your seasonings (salt, sugar, chicken powder), then stir fry for another 2 minutes.

Add a pinch of white pepper powder, and then mix until the rice no longer has any clumps.

Turn your heat to high, then add your veggies and shrimp.

Add soy sauce on the side of the wok/pan (not directly on the rice, so that the heat releases the flavours of the soy sauce) then stir for 20 seconds until the sauce is well incorporated.

Add green onion then turn off your heat, and serve.
